The bias at the global level is typically a making of the international media which provide a report about various occurrences and their impacts across the world.

On the positive aspect, IAT is a flexible tool that can be used to assess attitudes in the specific target population. For example, in a work setting, the IAT tool enables managers to assess how employees relate to tasks assigned. The premise lays the framework for the executives to forecast on the productivity of the prospect based on how the workers demonstrate commitments to their activities. Nonetheless, the IAT tool is important in today’s workplaces as it enables human resource personnel to select highly innovative people that can readily adapt in a given corporate culture. The implicit assessment test is also a good indicator of how leaders show biases and therefore influences how a person’s unconscious mind determines decision making. Reflection on Personal Results From IAT

Racial prejudice is a real problem that affects populations across the world. One way to eliminate discrimination based on the color of the skin is to understand how culture in our society shapes our mind and behavior towards a given population group[4]. In undertaking implicit assessment tests, I realized that I am a proponent of racial bias. When I review my test results, I realized that I prefer white names, food, and culture to other races in the United States of America. The report clearly indicates that I unconsciously categorize people based on their color of skin rather than their intellect to achieve a given goal. I have to admit that my harmful adaptive thought is related to implicit racial prejudice propagated by the media[5]. For long the media networks and television landscapes in America have been poised to inculcate a culture of white supremacy. This influences thoughts and behaviors towards other racial groups in the country which in most cases are perceived as inferior. As such, my IAT tests is a reflection of the overestimated degree of implicit racial bias in the United States of America. Therefore, researchers need to further investigate the effectiveness in the use of IAT to measure prejudice and provide concrete evidence on why some people become racists as opposed to others.
